    Who receives parcels in Austria

In Vienna there are staff of international organisations, students at universities and the conservatory, and Russian-speaking families. From Russia they receive documents, sheet music and books, medicines, gifts and children’s things. In winter, skiers head to Salzburg and Innsbruck — you can find a traveler among them too.

JetJoin helps you find someone travelling from Russia to Austria who is willing to take a small parcel. You agree directly, and the platform protects the payment.

    Route and meeting

Travelers fly to Austria with transfers — via Istanbul, Belgrade and other hubs — and most often land at Vienna Schwechat Airport. An express train runs from there to central Vienna, so a station is a convenient meeting point.

If the recipient lives in Salzburg or Innsbruck, search for a trip there or agree that they will come to Vienna.

What Austrian customs will let through

Austria applies EU rules: meat and dairy from non-EU countries may not be brought in, plants need documents, and medicines are allowed in personal quantities with a prescription.

EU sanctions rules restrict the import of certain goods of Russian origin, so send documents, books, clothes and inexpensive gifts.

    How to prepare the parcel

Describe the contents and upload photos and videos of the items and packaging to JetJoin. Documents go in a rigid folder with scans; sheet music and books in a sturdy bag.

Don’t hand over closed boxes or cash.

    Price and payment

You offer a reward, and the traveler agrees or names their own amount. JetJoin’s sender fee is 15%.

All users go through an identity check. The traveler photographs the parcel when taking it and enters the confirmation code when handing it to the recipient in Austria — only then is the payment charged.
