International parcel delivery

Sometimes a small parcel needs to reach another country by a specific date: a family member forgot something important, documents need to be sent or a gift delivered. A suitable flight may already be planned by someone flying in that direction.

At the agreed place and time

JetJoin is a platform for finding travelers willing to consider carrying permitted items during their own trips. Travelers publish flights, and senders find a suitable route and offer delivery terms. The decision to accept a request always stays with the traveler.

How international delivery works on JetJoin

Suppose you need to send personal items from Almaty to Paris. The sender searches for flights on that route, compares dates and available weight, then sends an offer to a specific traveler. The request includes the parcel details and the proposed amount.

The traveler reviews the offer, asks questions and decides whether to accept the item. If the terms are agreed, the parties confirm the deal and arrange the handover and pickup. A published flight on its own does not mean consent to carry anything.

How to send a parcel to another country

    Choose the route and date

Enter the departure and destination cities. Review published trips, departure times and available weight.

    Describe the contents

State what is inside, its approximate value, dimensions and weight. Don’t hand over sealed items with unknown contents.

    Offer a price

Name an amount for this specific delivery. The traveler may agree, suggest something else or decline.

    Arrange the handover

Agree on the meeting place and time before departure, how the parcel will be collected after arrival and the recipient’s contact details within the service rules.

    Confirm the agreement

Check the total price with fees and the payment terms, then confirm the deal in the app.

What items may be carried across borders

Clothes, documents, gifts and electronics may fall under different rules depending on the country, the airline, their value and purpose. Medicines, food, batteries and some devices may face additional restrictions. Don’t assume an item is allowed just because it fits in hand luggage.

Before the trip, both parties should check the airline’s rules, export and import requirements, whether a declaration is needed and possible duties. JetJoin does not replace customs authorities and does not guarantee a smooth border crossing.

How much does international parcel delivery cost

There is no single JetJoin per-kilogram rate: the sender offers an amount for a specific item, and the traveler decides whether the offer suits them. The price may depend on the route, weight, dimensions, travel date and how complicated the handover is.

For example, a passenger is flying from Dubai to London with 8 kg available. A sender offers to have a permitted 2 kg parcel carried. The reward is discussed for those 2 kg, not for the whole published allowance. Before confirming, both sides see the total price and fees: the platform fee for the sender is 15% of the delivery price.

    International routes and flight search

Search on JetJoin is built around routes published by travelers. These can be flights between cities in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and other regions. Whether a particular route is available depends on published flights and travelers’ consent.

If there is no suitable trip yet, you can choose “Notify me about a new flight” and watch for an offer on your route.

    Safety and responsibility of participants

For international carriage it is especially important to describe the contents truthfully and agree on terms before the handover. The traveler must be able to inspect the parcel and refuse it if they have doubts about its legality or safety.

JetJoin provides identity verification and in-app payment. However, protecting the payment for the service is not the same as insuring the value of the items. Customs and carriage obligations should be clarified before the request is confirmed.

Find a traveler for an international delivery

If your parcel can legally be carried by an air passenger, find a flight on a suitable route, propose your terms and discuss the details directly on JetJoin. The traveler chooses requests themselves, and the sender knows the route and handover terms in advance.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I send a parcel abroad with an air passenger?

In some cases, yes — if the item is allowed to be carried, the rules of both countries are followed and the traveler agrees to take it.

How long does international delivery take?

It depends on the flight date and on the handover and pickup. Having a plane ticket does not guarantee a specific timeframe.

    Who sets the price?

The sender proposes an amount for their request, and the traveler accepts it or discusses a different price.

Do I need to declare the parcel?

It depends on the contents, value, purpose and the laws of the countries involved. Check the requirements before the trip.

What if there is no suitable flight?

You can turn on notifications about new flights on your route.

Is the value of the contents insured?

Payment protection does not mean the item itself is automatically insured. Coverage terms need to be checked separately.
