Who receives parcels in the USA

The USA has a large Russian-speaking community — from Brighton Beach in New York to Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. From Russia they receive documents and certificates, medicines, books, photos, gifts and children’s things.

JetJoin helps you find someone travelling from Russia to the USA who is willing to take a small parcel — without postal delays or courier rates.

    Route and meeting

There are no direct flights, so travelers fly via Istanbul, Dubai or other hubs, and the journey takes about a day. On entry to the US, passengers go through passport and customs control, and baggage may be checked at random.

The US is huge, so search for a trip to the recipient’s city or arrange to meet at the arrival airport.

    US customs and sanctions

US customs is strict about food: meat, sausages, dairy, seeds and plants may not be brought in or must be declared. Medicines are for personal use, in packaging and with a prescription.

US sanctions restrict the import of certain goods of Russian origin. Send documents, books, clothes and inexpensive gifts.

    How to prepare the parcel

Describe the contents and upload photos and videos of the items and packaging to JetJoin. Keep the packaging openable: checked baggage in the US may be opened without the passenger.

Don’t hand over closed boxes or cash.

    Price and payment

You offer a reward, and the traveler agrees or names their own amount. Offer more for a long route. JetJoin’s sender fee is 15%.

All users go through an identity check. The traveler photographs the parcel when taking it and enters the confirmation code when handing it to the recipient in the US — only then is the payment charged.
