Need to send documents, personal items or a small gift from Europe, but regular international delivery doesn’t fit the timing or terms? One option is to agree with someone who is already flying to the city you need and has free space in their luggage. JetJoin helps the sender find such a traveler and discuss carriage before departure.

This isn’t an air courier service and doesn’t promise delivery on any flight: whether it’s possible depends on the route, the passenger’s consent, the contents of the item and border-crossing rules.

Which European countries you can search from

It is easiest to start with the departure city and destination. For example, a traveler might be departing from Paris, Berlin, Rome, Madrid or Amsterdam. Consider not only the country but also the airport, departure date, transfers and meeting place.

If there is no direct flight, the sender should consider nearby airports or a later date. Check for a suitable flight and free space in the platform’s current offers; the cities listed are examples of routes, not a guarantee of availability.

How to arrange sending a parcel from Europe

First, state where the item needs to be collected from and where it needs to go. Then find a flight with a suitable date and contact the passenger. In your message, state the size, weight, exact contents and preferred handover method up front. If the terms suit both sides, agree on the reward and meeting details.

The traveler decides whether to take a specific request. Don’t hand over an item without agreement, don’t hide its contents and don’t ask the passenger to give customs false information. The recipient also needs to know the arrival airport and pickup procedure in advance.

    What to check before departure

European airports and airlines have restrictions for hand luggage and checked baggage. The decision may depend on dimensions, batteries, liquids, aerosols, food and other categories. Rules differ by route and carrier, so check them right before the trip.

Besides aviation requirements, there are rules for export from the departure country and import into the destination country. Some goods need documents, declarations or payment of duties. Even a small parcel may be treated as a commercial shipment depending on the circumstances.

How much does sending with a traveler cost

There is no single price for all routes. The amount depends on the route, date, weight, volume and the agreement with the specific passenger. The sender can offer a reward, and the traveler can agree or discuss another price.

For example, if the parties agree on a reward of 20,000 ₸, that amount is the basis for calculating the platform fee, not a notional value of all the luggage space on the flight. The total fee and amount payable are shown before the request is confirmed.

Why it’s convenient to find a travel companion on JetJoin

Instead of searching for random contacts in chats, the sender can rely on published flights and discuss terms with the traveler in advance. This helps you understand who is flying, when the plane departs and how much space is available.

JetJoin doesn’t replace checking the contents, airline requirements and customs rules. Read the parties’ responsibilities and payment terms before handing over the item. Find a passenger with a suitable flight from Europe and discuss sending your parcel on JetJoin.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I send a parcel from Europe without a direct flight?

A route with a transfer is sometimes possible, but it must be agreed with the passenger separately. Consider the rules of the transit country and the transfer airport.

    Can I send documents?

Yes, you can look for a passenger for documents too, if carrying them is allowed and the traveler agrees. Important originals should be sent with special care.

    Who sets the delivery price?

The sender and traveler discuss the reward. Before confirming, check the total including the platform fee.

Can I send a sealed box?

The passenger must know the contents and be able to check them. Don’t ask anyone to carry unknown or hidden items.

What if there is no suitable passenger?

Try changing the date, departure city or arrival airport. Flight availability changes, so check for new offers.
