Send a parcel from Almaty to Seoul with a fellow traveler

If you need to pass personal items, documents or a small gift from Almaty to Seoul, you can consider sending it with a traveler. JetJoin helps the sender and someone planning a trip find each other. JetJoin does not accept or carry parcels.

The traveler posts the route, the departure date and the free baggage weight. The sender browses suitable offers and sends a request with a description of the parcel and the proposed reward. The parties discuss whether the request is accepted and the handover terms themselves. A suitable flight is not guaranteed.

Almaty and Seoul are in different customs jurisdictions. So before agreeing, check whether the item may be exported from Kazakhstan, imported into the Republic of Korea and carried in the chosen airline’s baggage. The requirements depend on the contents and quantity.

Food, medicines, cosmetics, liquids, batteries, electronics and animal or plant products need special attention. Some categories are restricted, must be declared or require permits. The size of an item does not determine whether it may be imported.

State exactly what you want to send, the approximate size and weight, the preferred date, the handover area in Almaty and how it will be collected in Seoul. Attach photos and videos of the contents and packaging: the traveler needs to understand what they are being asked to carry. List the items precisely.

If the item is fragile, discuss protective packaging and the possibility of checking its contents in advance. Do not hand over unknown sealed packages or ask the traveler to hide items from security or customs. Agree on contacts and how receipt will be confirmed.

JetJoin has no universal rate for the Almaty — Seoul route. The sender proposes an amount, and the traveler decides whether to accept the request and on what terms. The final arrangement depends on the parcel, the free baggage and what both sides can do; it is not an airfare.

It is best to confirm the meeting date and place right before the trip. Departures can be rescheduled and the traveler’s route can change. Allow time to check the items, hand them over and complete any customs formalities. Do not promise the recipient a specific delivery day before all the details are agreed.

When no suitable option is found for the route, use “Notify me about a new flight”. It is a way to keep track of new offers, not a confirmation of a future delivery. Once a flight appears, the terms still need to be agreed.
